Picnic in the Vineyards |
Henscratch Farms will host an end of season “Picnic in the Vineyard” for the community on Saturday May17th. Activities are scheduled 11:00am – 2:00pm. The vineyard & winery are closed June & July each year for vacation and to prepare for the August harvest.
Activities include a tour of the winery and a video of the winemaking process at the farm. Then the staff will be serving complimentary wine tastings with cheese and nibblies. It is blueberry u-pick season on the farm. A Free picnic lunch and entertainment by the “Front Porch Fiddlers” are scheduled 11am -2pm. The ice cream shack will be open for creamy blueberry treats and a special wine bar will feature wine by the glass to enjoy with lunch . Guests may tour the farm by strolling through the nine flagged educational stations, complete a scavenger hunt and feed the 101 free rang hens. It’s all for free! Don’t forget your camera. Door prizes and giveaways will be every 15 minutes. 8th Annual Grape Stomp & Bluegrass Fest |

Henscratch Farms will present the 8th Annual Grape Stomp & Bluegrass Fest on Saturday August 18th from 10:00am -2:00pm at the winery located on Henscratch Road in Lake Placid.
Award winning musical groups will bring toe tapping energy to the stage, for a four hour concert.
Attendees will join the stomp buckets with this year's MC _ TBA _ , in an attempt to crush 2 tons of grapes for this year’s ‘Foot Stomped Vintage”. Participants in the stomp may purchase the finished wine in November, complete with their picture on the label.
Included in the day is the farm’s walking tour, the presentation in the winery, complimentary cheese and wine tasting and All You Can Eat Grapes. Lawn Chairs & Umbrellas recommended. The Ice Cream Shack and Wine Bar will be open, and BBQ & Burgers are on the menu. Cost $6.00 per person. Children under 12 free. For more information contact the Winery at 863-699-2060 |

Henscratch Farms will host a Fall Pumpkin Day for the community
on Saturday Oct 27th . Activities are scheduled 10:00am – 2:00pm. The vineyard & winery is Florida’s 12th Official Florida Farm Winery.
A pumpkin patch will feature 300 pie pumpkins for sale at $3 each & a free decorating tent for the kids. Hay wagon rides with fiddle music on board will leave every half hour at $3 pp. (Lap Sitter free). Free hotdogs & lemonade will be available all day You can tour the winery and view a video of the winemaking process at the farm. Complimentary wine tastings with cheese and nibbles is included. Guests may tour the farm by strolling through the nine flagged educational stations, complete a scavenger hunt and feed the 101 free range hens.
